Miranda's work

Throughout this page you will find links to versatile projects I have created throughout my career as an Interior Designer. The shown projects are versatile throughout both commercial and residential design. Within the projects you will find specific attributes that were followed, programming, and final products that support who I am as a designer.

01

Marvin K. Peterson Library

Studio V was focused on student conducted research, and creating a space based off of student suggestions. The group project was created to make an area that was used to its lowest potential to one that was re-designed for its highest potential to all students on campus. The design included sustainability, biophilic attributes, and overall psychological knowledge.

02

Landor- Portland, Oregon

Studio IV was focused on using historical research, commercial building strategies, and site sustainability. The project was focused on a specific city provided to us, and resulted in an overall sustainable and ADA efficient commercial office building.

03

Wooded Acres Point

Studio III was a group project focused on ADA design and Universal Design Principles. The initial project was a retirement home in a city of our choosing. The floor plan was 2,240 square feet with an added bonus room that was not on the original footprint of blueprints. This was a group project and my contributions were the following: bubble diagrams, renderings, elevations of Kitchen and Bonus room in AutoCad, Kitchen lighting plan in AutoCad, and final poster design.

Flowing Falls Pediatrics

Studio II was centered around a Biophilic Design pediatric office that needed to meet ADA requirements. Research was performed by conducting a site plan analysis, determination of weather and sun patterns, and cross-referencing pediatric office design trends.

05

Calhoun Residence Media Room

The Calhoun Residence Media Room was focused on enhancing overall hand-drafting skills. The process started with conducting research on the elements included within your design. The research conducted then resulted in an overall floor plan, furniture plan, elevations, sections, and a two-point perspective.

Architectural drawing was focused on maintaining a footing for hand-drafting. Throughout the process we were tasked with various sketching assignments to enhance our free-hand drawing skills.
